Description of Required Permits

An APPROVED building permit is required for the construction of any new buildings and/or additions made to existing buildings. Please visit the city office or download the attached permit application.

Cost: $5.00/permit

An APPROVED fence permit is required for the construction of any new fence. Please visit the city office or download the attached permit application.

Cost: $5.00/permit

An approved livestock permit is required for all livestock inside the Cawker City, city limits. Please visit the city office or download the attached permit application. 

Cost: $5.00/year

 

No hogs are permitted inside city limits. For a copy of this ordinance please contact the city office.

Description of Fees

Dogs & Cats

It is required that all dogs and cats residing within the Cawker City, city limits are licensed. A valid rabies certificate showing updated vaccinations is required before a license with be issued. 

Pit Bulls and Rottweilers are not permitted within city limits. 

A limit of 4 dogs and/or cats is allowed. 

It is an unlawful violation to allow dogs to run at large within the city limits.

Annual License Fees

  • $10.00 Spayed or Neutered

  • $20.00 Intact Male or Female

Mowing & Blight

Grass and weeds on or about residential property which, because of its height, lends itself to an influence blight on the neighborhood are not permitted. Any such weeds and grass shall be presumed to be a blight if exceeding 12 inches in height. Properties in violation are subject to mowing by the city with costs assessed to the property owner. 

Water & Electricity Service Reconnection Fee

If disconnected for non-payment a fee reconnection fee will be charged.

$15.00/hr, per employee engaged in search. Minimum fee of $15.00

Please make sure that your request is precise and clear as to what you want. If you have any questions about your request, contact your local Freedom of Information Officer. 

Most records will be produced within three business days from the time the request is received. If your request is denied, you will receive a written explanation for the delay or denial. 

Please be prepared to provide a brief statement describing/explaining your complaint. 

Deposit must be paid 30 days prior to the event. Upon approval of application, key can be picked up at the City Office from the City Clerk and is to be returned the next day. 

Fire Department

The Fire Dept. members will review your application for admittance. If accepted, you will be required to fill out an application for insurance, with the Firemen's Relief Association; the City pays the cost of the insurance with no cost to you.
